Position Summary:

Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise or supplies and posts totals to inventory/property records.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise or supplies and posts totals to inventory/property records.
  • Verifies record computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
  • Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists and shortages.
  • Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
  • May operate various office machines.
  • May stock and issue materials or merchandise.
  • Initiates inventory adjustments as needed.
  • Communicates with inventory supervisors regarding discrepancies.
  • Maintains cycle count program compliance.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Experience using Oracle to research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to effectively communicate problems at all levels
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Ability to earn and maintain forklift certification.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

HS Graduate or Equivalent required

Experience:

Prior experience working in Manufacturing/Production environment

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Production/Manufacturing environment.

Previous forklift experience preferred

Lift up to 55 lbs. frequently.

Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
