About this team:

The Manager, Technical Operations, Demand will focus on Magnite's ClearLine product and play a lead role in ensuring clients using our technology achieve optimal results. A core component of the role is utilizing emerging AI technologies and advanced analytics to streamline workflows, identify insights across large datasets, and drive scalable operational solutions. The role serves as an internal point of escalation at the intersection of Account Management and Product/Engineering.

ClearLine is a SpringServe-powered buy-side platform that transacts across the Magnite media footprint.

In this role you will:

  • Manage a queue of technical escalations from ClearLine Account Managers while maintaining a high standard of organization, responsiveness, professionalism, and stakeholder communication

  • Troubleshoot highly complex technical issues spanning multiple platforms, systems, reporting pipelines, APIs, and integrations

  • Use modern AI tools and emerging technologies to identify repeatable operational challenges, design scalable solutions, automate workflows, and improve team efficiency. This role will be expected to actively evaluate and leverage evolving AI capabilities to deliver meaningful operational impact.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for both internal and external audiences, including troubleshooting guides, platform feature documentation, process documentation, and customer-facing support materials

  • Take initiative in investigating ambiguous problems, proactively seeking answers, asking thoughtful questions, and driving issues to resolution with minimal oversight

  • Learn new platforms, systems, and technical concepts quickly while demonstrating strong ownership and long-term retention of operational knowledge

  • Act as a cross-functional project lead when needed, coordinating efforts across Technical Operations, Product, Engineering, Account Management, and external partners to resolve issues and execute initiatives

  • Partner directly with Product and Engineering teams to escalate bugs, define technical requirements, reproduce issues, and support resolution efforts

  • Create, manage, and troubleshoot custom data feeds and reporting solutions using SQL and Python within Snowflake, Databricks, and related data environments

  • Query and analyze large datasets across multiple systems using SQL and Python to identify trends, diagnose issues, and support operational decision-making

  • Troubleshoot advanced programmatic advertising workflows and integrations, including:

    • VAST and OpenRTB protocols

    • DSP/SSP integrations

    • Audience onboarding and DMP workflows

    • Video ad serving and delivery behavior

    • Tracking and reporting discrepancies

    • Platform and API integrations

We're looking for someone with:

    • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, troubleshooting, automation, and workflow development

    • Strong interest in and aptitude for learning emerging AI technologies, with the ability to apply AI tools to operational workflows and problem-solving

    • Strong knowledge of video advertising ecosystems, particularly within CTV and programmatic environments

    • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills

    • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities, with experience diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues

    • Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to identify root causes, explain technical concepts clearly, and guide stakeholders toward solutions

    • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

    • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance immediate operational needs with long-term scalable solutions

  • Preferred

    • 6+ years of relevant experience in technical operations, ad tech, programmatic advertising, solutions engineering, or related fields

    • Experience developing and optimizing media strategies for performance-driven advertising campaigns

    • Understanding of the programmatic advertising call chain, including VAST and OpenRTB protocols

    • Experience troubleshooting ad requests and API interactions using tools such as cURL and browser developer tools

    • Experience working with advertising agencies, DSPs, SSPs, or related advertising technology platforms

    • Strong understanding of audience targeting capabilities, identity/data strategies, and related advertising technologies

In New York, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $135,000.
In Massachusetts, the base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000.
In Colorado, the base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000.

Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
