Job description

Overview

The purpose of this job is to provide application support for external and internal vendor software or/and in-house developed software. In this role, you must be able to work independently or part of a team to support the analysis, design, implementation of the software to meet the company's goals. You will be expected to build business line relationships to compliment your technical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications.
  • Test and integrate application components.
  • Install new releases of software.
  • Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Analyze and provide solutions to issues.
  • Problem solving and debugging.
  • Provide break-fix support using troubleshooting skills for on-call support.
  • Code programs that interface with multiple applications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent combination or education, training or work experience
  • Over 10 years development application support experience
  • High energy with a "take charge and "make it happen" attitude. Able to work with no supervision
  • Extreme technical skills and the ability to teach others
  • Ability to translate business requirements into product design and implementation as well as estimating work effort and determining completion dates
  • Advanced decision-making, problem solving and debugging skills with complex data systems
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions especially in time critical situations
  • Time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to be involved heavily with multiple business segments and management
  • Subject matter expert on the applications you support and completely understand how it impacts other applications
  • Skills and ability to "jump in" to help other applications when needed
  • Team player who can work and lead multiple groups toward a common goal
  • Over 7 years of banking experience preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
