Summary:

  • Responsible for ensuring that quality control processes and procedures meet all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Develop and implement QC policies to the jobsite.
  • Ensures that all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced; responsible for safety on site.
  • Ensures that all Nicholson quality standards are met.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work and report regularly to PM.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum of 3 years of QC Experience
  • Geotechnical preferred
  • Basic knowledge of bidding and job costing procedures
  • Knowledgeable in structural and geotechnical designs related to our techniques
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook relative to reporting site construction and engineering activities
  • Converse effectively using both verbal and written communication.
  • Make decisions and assume accountability
  • Concentrate on tasks
  • Demonstrate ability to manage stress and emotions as related to the workplace
  • Attention to detail
  • Identify and resolve conflict
  • Assess safety and risk

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, pull and push at least 40 pounds
