Overview

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving project success? As a Project Controls Manager, you will oversee critical activities that ensure project success, including prime contract management, scheduling, cost control and contract change management. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness for one District or Mega Project.


This is a full-time position supporting an Advanced Technology project, which includes out Data Center market segments.


What you will be doing

  • Reviews and analyzes contract management records to provide technical advice and project control guidance.

  • Oversees cost controls reporting and reconciliation for one District or Mega Project, providing reports to the Project Controls Director for Division-level summaries.

  • Manages the scheduling process and support for District or Mega Projects, including bid phase, project schedule creation, monthly reporting, and schedule updates.

  • Supports the integration of company systems to track, monitor, and control costs or schedules, ensuring accurate training and utilization of approved systems for project document control and reporting.

  • Conducts regular project reviews and monitors job cost reports against key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Coordinates with the Division Claims/Contract Manager to track and monitor change order and claims preparation and resolution.

  • Manages tracking activities related to unsecured revenue and project contingencies.

  • Monitors and controls project cash flow by tracking over/under billing.

  • Assists with resource and cost loading to the schedule, including labor projections, equipment and material projections, and productivity trend reporting to accurately forecast project costs and financial outcomes.

  • Assists with project closeout procedures by validating final revenue prior to final bill submission.


What we are looking for

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or related field required.

  • 7+ yearsโ€™ experience in construction engineering, project management or project controls required.

  • Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes required.

  • Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes required.

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, required.

  • Proven leadership and influential skills. Able to effectively work and communicate with all levels of the company.

  • Able to identify cost reduction strategies in schedule, quantities or contract specifications that align with project budget and design specification requirements.

  • Delegation and communication skills required. Able to develop or refine a company-wide program and clearly communicate expectations and business value to all levels of the business.
