Responsibilities
    Coordinates and manages all engineering processes with construction management
  • Ensures procedure manuals for all processes are being followed and presents to other team members (A/E and Owners)
  • Trains and educates project team in all project procedures, document posting and submittal review
  • Facilitates project meetings with Gilbane staff (A/E and Owners)
  • Works with Project Engineers and Superintendents to coordinate jobsite safety
  • Facilitates internal Gilbane University courses
  • Manages RFI process
  • Prepares front end documents
  • Expedites material deliveries
  • Estimates and processes change orders
  • Prepares monthly pay request
  • Establishes and manages schedule, cost, and control procedures
  • Becomes familiar with contracts, general conditions, and flow down language
  • Performs constructability and coordination reviews
  • Writes scopes of work for all bid packages; assists with bid openings and bid tabulations
  • Negotiates changes with trades and owners; manages same process
  • Assumes responsibility for jobsite safety
  • Provides job site orientation
  • Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the "Builder of Choice".
  • Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 8+ years of experience with a construction management or general contractor organization including management or lead engineering role for large construction project (>$75M)
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal presentation and written skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Financial management familiarity
  • OSHA 30-hour certified
  • Thorough MEP knowledge
  • Complete understanding of contract document & specifications
  • Proficient in Procore
  • LEED Certification (preferred)

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For Minnesota, this ranges from $99,600 - $135,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
