Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is the oldest and largest AIDS Service Organization (ASO) in Oregon and Southwest Washington that provides the LGBTQ+ community and beyond with compassionate healthcare. CAP's mission is to promote well-being and advance equity by providing inclusive health and wellness services for LGBTQ+ people, people affected by HIV, and all those seeking compassionate care. Cascade AIDS Project is excited to announce that we are hiring a skilled and team-oriented Manager of Aging Well Programming. The Manager of Aging Well Programming leads equitable, strengths-based programs for older adults and long-term survivors living with or affected by HIV. The Aging Well program supports participants' well-being by fostering community, reducing isolation through connection and belonging, promoting health and wellness, and advocating for community needs.
This is a Full-Time role working at our Davis St. location in NW Portland. The schedule for this role is 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday- Friday 2-3 days in office, 2-3 days work from home with some nights and weekends.
The Salary for this position $65,326.92 a year.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in social services or related field OR equivalent experience
  • A minimum of two years' experience working or volunteering in a human/social services or related field
  • Previous professional or volunteer experience working with People Living with HIV, the LGBTQ+ community and older adults
  • Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating group activities and events
  • Experience working with people affected by isolation, grief, trauma, homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance addiction
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with community partners and stakeholders

What You'll Do
  • Evaluate current programs, make needed adjustments, and conduct community needs assessments.
  • Develop and strengthen referral systems and relationships with community partners and funders.
  • Ensure the program reflects the needs and interests of older adults living with or affected by HIV.
  • Provide direct participant support through individual calls and meetings to identify and address emerging or urgent needs, reduce isolation, build social connections, and make referrals to CAP services or community resources.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of regular weekly, monthly, annual Aging Well programs and activities in alignment with CAP values, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide agency leadership through full participation on the management team, at all-staff and department meetings, thorough involvement in agencywide activities and by acting as a role model
