PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN ILLINOIS. RELOCATION WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THS POSITION. ALL INTERESTED CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON-SITE AND RELOCATE FOR THE POSIITON.
The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a highly skilled engineering team while ensuring company objectives and goals are met. Job Summary: This person would be responsible for leading 3-4 employees and will directly oversee the engineering department. This is a hands-on role, and the engineering manager will perform the following duties: ยท Provides hands-on support with engineering project requirements. ยท Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, sales support, production support, and development of new and existing product lines. ยท Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood. ยท Ensures projects comply with specifications, timelines, and elevator code. ยท Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy. ยท Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards. ยท Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency. Required Skills/Abilities: ยท Strong knowledge of elevator codes and compliance requirements. ยท Must have prior experience working in accordance with ASME 17.1 elevator codes and excellent problem-solving skills. ยท Innovative with a โ€œthink outside the boxโ€ mentality. ยท Proficient with utilizing AutoCAD software ยท Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria. ยท Thorough understanding of applied math and physics. ยท Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. ยท Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. ยท Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. ยท Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ยท Strong supervisory and leadership skills. ยท Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. ยท Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
