Keytronic Oakdale, MN facility is seeking an Associate Program Manager who will help the team manage the RFQ, NPI, and CPT processes while administering customer contractsand leading cross-functional program teams. This individual coordinates business, operational, and contractual activitiesto support successful program execution and resolve critical issues. They will also provide senior management with timely updates on risks, escalations, and opportunities for process improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Customer interface in coordination with global account management for the management andexecution of all program management, order management and business management functionswith the guidance from program management leadership.
  • Administers multiple quotes and the Request for Quote (RFQ) process with a basic understandingof cost drivers. Inputs quote data into spreadsheet form for analysis and reporting.
  • Manages quote team to ensure accurate and thorough RFQ response.
  • Interacts with Manufacturers Representatives (MR) and Sales Executives to resolve discrepanciesin the RFQ.
  • Administrates customer contracts with oversite of Senior Program Managers and above. Must beknowledgeable on the terms and conditions of the Manufacturing service agreement.
  • Manages and empowers cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) and Customer Product
  • Transfer (CPT) teams to achieve desired results. Generates and tracks cross-functional actionitem list.
  • Works laterally through the organization to solve problems with guidance of programmanagement leadership. Assesses risks and communicates them to upper management. Creates action lists and timelines per the NPI process and tracks programs from team meetings.
  • Maintains cash flow, profitability, program timeline, resource and milestone charts with guidanceof program management leadership.
  • Generates, maintains and publishes weekly reports on cost, quality and delivery.
  • Communicates progress with customers on a regular basis with the guidance from ProgramManagement leadership.
  • In coordination with program manager leadership, manage customer expectations andrequirements in areas ranging from material pricing, quote preparation, contract negotiation (toinclude manufacturing purchasing agreements), capacity planning, quality, new productintroduction and on time delivery expectations.
  • Coordination, documentation and execution of transition plans, project plans and standardized
    business processes/controls to include cost controls, variance approval, administration,
    reconciliation, key business metrics and quarterly business reviews.
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting internal and external performance metrics on
    a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Work with assigned program managers and customer focus teams (CFTs) to deliver customerexcellence in order and backlog management, quality, on time delivery, accounts receivable andexcess and obsolete inventory management.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by Customer Focus Team (CFT) members and modifiesschedules or plans as required.
  • Document and execute standardized cost controls, variance administration and reporting.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties.

SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED:

Supervision is received by either the Business Unit Manager orthe Director of Program Management. This position may receive guidance and mentoring from SeniorProgram Managers and/or Program Managers. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required totalk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to standand sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities requiredby this job include close vision, color vision, and distance vision. While performing the duties of this job,the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes orairborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy. Thenormal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder attimes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanicalparts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • If experience is equivalent to Bachelor degree, must have at least two years of experience inengineering, high volume assembly management, procurement, or finance. Knowledge of costaccounting, materials procurement, and proficiency in managing timelines,or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical publications and reports.
  • Possesses strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication in the English language,
  • with the ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and professionally.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers,engineers, clients and customers.
  • Applied business and economic mathematics and analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram for and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Advanced ability to operate a computer and in utilizing Microsoft and project management tools.
  • Basic understanding of the business practice from the sales process through production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or another related field.
  • Ability to utilize artificial intelligence for project management functions.
  • Fundamental understanding of the RFQ process and business cost drivers.
  • Experience in contract manufacturing.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish, Vietnamese, and/or Chinese.
