Job Summary and Qualifications
  • As the Manager of Pharmacy Services, you will be responsible for taking on advanced responsibilities in the areas of pharmacy operations, technology and automation, medication safety, quality improvement, compliance, technician oversight and training, medication compounding and preparation, and education related to all aspects of pharmacy operations.
  • You will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing all functions of the department in order to meet the stated mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano.
  • You will be expected that you will effectively operate the department, continue the improvement of the department's processes and outcomes, comply with hospital and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate the department services into the organization's overall plan for the delivery of care and service.
  • The Manager of Pharmacy Services will support the Director of Pharmacy in managing the pharmacy operations. This includes implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures, supervision and training of staff, inventory management, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
What qualifications you will need:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Texas Board of Pharmacy licensure.

Experience:

  • Two years’ supervisory experience in hospital pharmacy
  • One year of experience as a Pharmacy Operations Manager/Supervisor or 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
