Job Information
Our current Branch Manager is growing into a new role so we have an opening for Branch Manager of our Springfield, MO branch. As a Branch Manager at Republic & T.F. Ehrhart, you will own daily operations of the branch and team to ensure that all operational functions are completely performed, outstanding customer service is provided to internal and external customers, and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Each branch Manager owns the financial performance of their branch and is responsible for warehouse operations, delivery services, inventory, training, safety, building security & maintenance and sales management. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Role & Responsibility
Overall Branch Management
  • The Branch Manager is responsible for the financial performance of his branch and should oversee and manage budgets, inventory, customer sales, and operating expense.
  • The Branch Manager is responsible for maintaining a good relationship with the key accounts for their branch and should know who their top customers are.
  • The Branch Manager should work cross functionally with purchasing to manage inventory turns and scrutinize all new stock additions.
  • The Branch Manager work cohesively with other Branch Managers and departments to take care of customers, transfer inventory, reduce expense, deploy training, fill gaps, etc.
  • The Branch Manager holds weekly sync meetings with their staff at the Branch and monthly includes other key partners as needed to implement company objectives such as sales, inside sales, purchasing, HR, IT, Accounting, etc.
  • The Branch Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all operational and personnel policies and procedures as well as enforcing safety policies and operational best practices.
  • The Branch Manager ensures that building(s) and employees are safe, well maintained, & secure. Oversees and schedules maintenance services for the branch facilities, equipment and vehicles, which includes working with our Fleet Manager to ensure accurate Driver Records, and Annual DOT maintenance is completed and recorded.

Warehouse Operations & Delivery Services
  • The Branch Manager owns all warehouse operational processes and procedures including receiving inbound, transfers, inventory control, order picking, packing, quality assurance and delivery.
  • The Branch Manager is the point of escalation and Provides oversight on product returns, defective inventory, and warranty claims and works cross functionally with all departments to come to resolution.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure the proper handling, storage, and rotation of HVAC materials and equipment.
  • Ensure all delivery operations including scheduling drivers, trucks, and routes are established
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency and service reliability
  • Coordinate LTL shipments for large-order deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company fleet safety standards
  • Verify completion of driver pre-trip inspections and required documentation
  • Monitor driver logs, mileage reporting, and operational records
  • Coordinate annual vehicle inspections as well as preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Address delivery issues, delays, or service failures
  • Promote safe driving practices and accountability among drivers

Sales Support
  • The Branch Manager will ensure that we are delivering on our brand promise: "Republic promises to provide the products, technical knowledge, customer service and fast response times you need to be successful."
  • Support the sales function to ensure that the promises the sales team makes are kept.
  • Work cross functionally to schedule customer training events at your branch each month.
  • Work with sales teams to create an open house/counter day monthly to promote Republic and a timely product of the month. Work with Marketing to create awareness.
  • The Branch Manager is responsible for show rooms in their branches. Ensure they are established, equipped and clean. Rotate show room product for seasonality to promote impulse purchases.
  • Work with the Crib Program Manager to ensure any crib specialists (managed inventory specialists) at your location are fulfilling crib orders to desired standards and offer support where needed to establish new crib accounts.
  • The Branch Manager promotes exceptional customer service through their counter team to provide timely customer interaction and problem resolution.
  • The Branch Manager may need to assist in ticket writing, taking orders over the phone and assisting walk-in customers.
  • The Branch Manager guides and coaches counter staff through complex order situations to ensure customer satisfaction and works cross functionally with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Utilizes inventory and order entry functions in the company's ERP system, as well as helping others to research and troubleshoot.

Supervisor Responsibility
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop employees for your branch.
  • Monitor ongoing schedules and time off requests to ensure adequate branch coverage.
  • Assess the training and development needs of employees and schedule opportunities for them to develop into high performers.
  • Complete performance reviews on the required cadence for all employees who report to you and offer coaching and feedback as needed, daily if it's required.

Requirements
  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline, such Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Sales, Entrepreneurship is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience Required: 3-5 years of related work experience in HVAC or electrical distribution
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook/Teams.
  • Excellent teamwork/collaborative aptitude, with the ability work independently and be a self starter.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills using your ability to galvanize and use influence skills to drive action and change.
