About the Role:

As the Director of Learning & Development, you'll help chart the course for employee growth across the organization. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll serve as both navigator and coach, identifying training and development needs at the individual, departmental, and organizational levels while creating learning strategies that support our mission and future growth.

You'll oversee the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of innovative learning programs, both instructor-led and through our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring employees have the tools they need to reach new heights in their careers. From guiding leadership development and career planning to administering our LMS and helping employees build meaningful Individual Development Plans, you'll play a key role in developing the talent that keeps our organization moving forward. Compensation:

Maximum – Based on experience

Minimum - $105,255.69

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning strategy aligned with organizational objectives and workforce needs.
  • Manages the development, design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Authority's Talent Management development and organizational training programs.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop, update, maintain, and launch Mandatory Annual Compliance Training through the Learning Management System (LMS), tracks completion and progress throughout the year, and provides status reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Work closely with the C-suite to design and implement talent strategies that align with the organization's growth objectives and future talent needs.
  • Develops, coordinates, and conducts Management Development training, including New Manager Jump Start trainings, Management Fundamentals, Crucial Conversations, and further training as organizational needs dictate
  • Establishes training objectives, reviews progress, approves training programs, and evaluates requests for training activities.
  • Partner with senior leadership to integrate talent development metrics with key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic plan.
  • Counsel employees on career and personal development; assist employees in developing individualized development plans; assist employees in achieving development goals.
  • Lead strategic budget planning for talent development initiatives, optimizing resources to support business growth and innovation in learning technologies
  • Evaluate and implement learning technologies to enhance employee engagement and accelerate leadership readiness.
  • Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with external institutions such as technical/vocational schools, contributing to the organization’s visibility and positioning as a thought leader in talent and leadership development.
  • Leverage data analytics to measure the ROI of talent development programs and link them to improved business performance and employee retention.
  • Performs additional related work as required.

Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communication, industrial psychology, or related field

Experience:

Required:

  • 7 years of combined talent management, training, and employee development experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience leading learning initiatives and managing learning teams.

Preferred:

  • 9 years of combined talent management, employee development, and training experience.
