About the Role
Join Sparkle Squad as the Manager of Field Operations, where you will lead our field team in delivering exceptional service across Northern New Jersey. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and ensuring every job meets our high standards.
You will play a critical role in scaling our business-owning field execution, developing technicians, and building a disciplined, high-performing operation.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily field operations, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and at a high level of quality
  • Lead, train, and develop field technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job checklists
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics (job time vs. estimate, labor %, quality)
  • Coordinate scheduling, routing, and logistics to maximize crew productivity
  • Conduct job site visits and quality control checks
  • Troubleshoot field challenges and solve problems in real time
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Maintain oversight of equipment, vehicles, and job readiness
  • Serve as the primary link between ownership and the field team
  • Resolve customer issues professionally, ensuring a strong client experience

Requirements
  • Proven experience in field operations, service-based business, or crew management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and hold a team accountable
  • Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Ability to analyze performance and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Mechanically inclined / able to quickly learn equipment and processes
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience (Not Required)
  • Exterior cleaning, facilities services, construction, or similar field-based industries
  • Window cleaning, pressure-washing, soft-washing, gutter-cleaning, holiday lighting
  • Experience managing multiple crews or job sites
  • Familiarity with CRM or field service management software
