Job description

Responsibilities and Duties  

  • Outgoing, self-starting and patient when working with our Guests and other Hosts 
  • Greet Guests warmly and assist them with Event-related inquiries, including direction, schedules, and general information. Ensure Guests feel welcomed and valued throughout the Event 
  • Responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep of all workspaces and behind the scenes areas 
  • Help with the setting up of the Event space, including arranging seating, setting up décor, and preparing Event supplies. Assist with the teardown and clean up after Events 
  • Assist with Event-specific tasks, such as facilitating activities, assisting with entertainment and vendors, and ensuring Event details are executed according to plan 
  • Work with all ages with Crafts, Games, and Candy distribution 
  • Manage guest experience by creating a fun welcoming performance experience. 
  • Monitor the Event to ensure Guests safety and security, including identifying and reporting potential hazards or disruption immediately. 
  • Address any Guest concerns or questions promptly and professionally, offering solutions where appropriate or escalating issues to the Special Events Supervisor, or Manager when necessary. 
  • Represent Callaway Resort and Gardens in a professional and friendly manner, creating a positive and inclusive environment for all Event Guests.  

 

Qualifications 

 Education & Experience:   

  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities. 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. 
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to the changing needs of events. 
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules is required. 

 Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and assist with event setup and breakdown. 
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods during events regardless of weather conditions 
  • Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and in different weather conditions. 

*This is a part time position that will operate during Pumpkins at Callaway.  Typical schedule will be from 4:00pm-10:00pm Thursday-Sunday.
