MARKETING & ENROLLMENT MANAGMENT - Manager of Student Visits

Position summary
Manages the coordination of all prospective student visits individually or in groups, along with their families or schools, for Undergraduate and Graduate visits. Manages the student staff and the Student Visit Coordinator. Manages the Andrews Ambassador team selection, training, and participation with future Andrews students. Excels in customer service relations and connecting with guests, alumni, and friends of Andrews.

Visit and SEMC Events:
  • College Days, AU Previews, Health Profession & Transfer Preview,Summer Preview, Ambassador Talks, Conociendo a Andrews, Standout, and other preview events
  • Group visits from schools and other organizations bringing potential students to campus
  • Arrange and coordinate site visits to local hotels including negotiation of Andrews rates
  • Working closely with local hotels, Dining Services and Hospitality Services to provide meals and lodging for guests
  • Coordinate other events as required.
Communications
  • Manages communication with departments to coordinate participation in Preview Events
  • Manages communication in Recruit for event visits to prospective students and parents
  • Oversees the communication to prospective students who want to visit campus through visit@andrews.edu
  • Oversees calling to prospective students who canceled or did not show for visits
  • Supervises the tracking of event survey results internally with Enrollment and externally with academic departments
  • Develops and reviews all recruitment-related materials presented to guests in cooperation with marketing and communications
  • Promotes campus-wide awareness of on-campus guests through interaction with and announcements to faculty, staff, and students
  • Participates in team and division meetings
Develop and Manage Student Ambassador Program
  • Updates Ambassador Application & Recommendation forms each year
  • Select Ambassador members
  • Manages materials, including the lending of mattresses, binders, name tags, etc.
  • Purchases branded jackets and shirts for the Ambassador Team
  • Conducts Ambassador training each fall for the entire Ambassador team
  • Maintains regular communication and meetings with members
  • Supervises hosting process and expectations
  • Plans recognition for years of service and a monetary thank-you gift at the end of each school year.
Enrollment
  • Attends Enrollment and Admissions conventions and workshops as required
  • Assists with the First Stop Experience for the fall semester
  • Visits other local Christian Universities to explore their visit programs, new ideas
  • Supports Enrollment initiatives as a team
  • Participates in Enrollment Management office planning and development
  • Maintains knowledge of campus departments

Supervisory responsibilities
Management and Supervision
  • Manages the Student Visits Coordinator
  • Oversees the management of hiring and training of 10-11 student workers
  • Directly manages the development, selection, and training of the Student Ambassadors Team
  • Coordinates advertising and marketing in collaboration with marketing and communications
  • Manages budgets for Student Visits, costs for Preview Events, Ambassador expenses, and group visits
  • Manages the planning, scheduling, and carrying out of SEMC group events
  • Manages enrollment golf carts, including scheduling regular maintenance, maintaining cleanliness, storage, and use.
  • Oversees the management of CRM events and calendar
  • Oversees the management of the evaluation process for guest surveys
  • Oversees the management of individual visits

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's or equivalent certification and/or related experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public, including skills in communicating difficult news to applicants and their families. Skills in languages beyond English are also beneficial to the university. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent capabilities for interpersonal and verbal communication, including the ability to communicate effectively in moments of frustration or crisis. Also needs leadership skills, ability to organize and pay attention to detail, and strong writing skills. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Able to produce scores that evaluate or rate students based on a variety of factors, including individual test scores and class grades from secondary school and/or college from both domestic and international schools. REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to use common sense knowledge to follow written, spoken, or diagrammatic instructions. Expected to be competent to handle issues in standardized settings involving multiple concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance.
