Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Safety Coordinator 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah
Safety Coordinator will be responsible for reinforcing site and/or program safety protocols, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA and Northrop Grumman policies and procedures, monitoring the facility for EHS hazards, and responding accordingly. May be directed as needed to support the sites' environmental, safety and health operations. Will be required to work nights, weekend and holidays.

  • Monitoring hazardous operations
  • Safety inspections
  • Accident Investigations
  • Job hazard analysis and PPE assessments
  • Machine guarding and Lockout/tagout program management
  • Respiratory protection program oversight
  • Ergonomic assessments
  • Hazardous waste inspections, management and oversight
  • Air permitting support
  • Fire extinguisher / eyewash inspections
  • New hire orientation
  • Industrial hygiene and occupational health monitoring
  • Conduct routine safety and health trainings
  • Investigate employee health and safety concerns
  • Conduct environmental testing and regulatory inspections
  • Storm water and industrial wastewater compliance
  • Support safety and health programs development
  • Review contractor safety compliance

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years manufacturing or other EHS related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD clearance
  • Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to work with all levels of personnel, including management and outside vendors and to accurately communicate, document and report
  • Basic knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the EHS field
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $40,700.00 - $67,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
