Welcome to Love's: As the Manager of Floor Planning, you will oversee the development and execution of floorplans for new stores, remodels, resets, and innovation initiatives. This role provides leadership to the Floor Planning team, ensuring accurate, high-quality deliverables while partnering with Merchandising, Space Planning, and Store Operations to support efficient project execution.
Job Functions:
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to Retail Floor Planner team members across all levels (I through Senior)
  • Assign and prioritize daily and weekly workload across the team to meet project deadlines for new stores, remodels, resets, and Innovation Center activities
  • Review and approve floorplans for quality, accuracy, and adherence to established standards prior to release to the field
  • Onboard and train new floor planning team members on tools, systems, and established processes
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for day-to-day floorplan, data, or system issues; resolve within established procedures or route to the Sr. Manager of Space Strategy & Format as needed
  • Monitor team capacity and workload to ensure timely, accurate delivery of floorplans
  • Provide input to the Sr. Manager of Space Strategy & Format on team staffing, budget, and resource needs
  • Maintain and document floor planning standard operating procedures and quality control checkpoints
  • Coordinate team resources and support for Innovation Center, new store, and remodel initiatives
  • Partner with Space Planning, Merchandising, and Store Operations counterparts on day-to-day coordination and issue resolution

Experience and Qualifications:
  • College degree in a business-related major typically required and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of related floor planning, space planning, or retail merchandising experience
  • Previous experience with floorplan software, AutoCAD, and SQL / Tableau preferred
  • Working knowledge of Love's software systems and processes
  • Foundational understanding of the floor planning function and basic knowledge of related functions (Space Planning, Merchandising, Store Operations)
  • Performs work with moderate autonomy over team-level, day-to-day operational decisions; decisions are guided by established policies, procedures, and business plans
  • Utilizes judgment to determine approach to issues of varied complexity within the team; escalates broader strategic or cross-departmental issues to the Sr. Manager of Space Strategy & Format
  • Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to a small team
