Overview: 
As Director of Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that enhances Concordance’s visibility, reputation, and impact. In this role, you will coordinate closely with the Marketing, Communications, and Development team to share Concordance’s story to multiple internal and external stakeholder groups, including donors, governments, foundations, and media. 

Your role will involve:
  • Collaborating with the Marketing, Communications, and Development team to develop a clear and compelling communications strategy aligned with Concordance’s mission, vision, values, and goals 
  • Sharing compelling, timely, and impactful communications across various channels, including website, social media, press releases, media and public appearances, and newsletters
  • Developing and implementing internal communications strategies to ensure consistent messaging to our team members 
  • Developing crisis communication and risk mitigation plans 
  • Working closely with the development team to align communication efforts with donor cultivation and stewardship
  • Monitoring and evaluating the success of various communications efforts, using data to continually improve communications

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Required education, licensure, and experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field 
  • 5-7+ years of experience as a senior communications professional
  • Experience managing both external and internal communications
