Job description

The Manager of Client Relations is a nuclear industry focused role responsible for managing strategic customer relationships and driving business growth across Holtec's portfolio. Reporting to the EVP of Business Development, this position serves as a trusted technical and commercial interface with customers, translating complex nuclear requirements into practical, value-based solutions.
This role is best suited for professionals with a strong nuclear background, through engineering, nuclear plant operations, or nuclear-focused technical sales, who can credibly engage with utility, EPC, and government stakeholders and lead solution development in highly regulated environments.
Location: Camden, NJ or Remote (U.S.-based in FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, or TN)
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted technical and commercial partner to nuclear customers, engaging directly with plant engineering, operations, procurement, and executive stakeholders
  • Lead customer-facing engagements by understanding complex nuclear requirements and translating them into practical, compliant, and value-driven solutions across Holtec's product and service portfolio
  • Drive business development activities within assigned accounts, identifying opportunities aligned with customer needs, regulatory expectations, and Holtec's strategic objectives
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, quality, and site services teams to develop integrated technical solutions and support proposal development
  • Lead or support the preparation and delivery of technical proposals and customer presentations, ensuring alignment with nuclear safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Support contract negotiations in partnership with executive leadership, legal, finance, and project teams, and facilitate smooth handover to project execution teams
  • Maintain a deep working understanding of Holtec's nuclear technologies and capabilities to effectively represent the company in customer discussions and industry forums
  • Monitor customer priorities, competitive activity, and market trends within the nuclear sector to inform account strategy and opportunity development
  • Provide ongoing post-award support, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationship growth
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline information and prepare regular reports on account activity, opportunities, and forecasted business
  • Travel approximately 25-50% to customer sites, nuclear facilities, and industry conferences to support relationship development and business growth

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the nuclear industry, including nuclear power generation, nuclear engineering, nuclear manufacturing, plant operations, or nuclear-focused technical or commercial roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical, or related discipline) strongly preferred; candidates with significant nuclear plant or field experience may be considered in lieu of a technical degree, provided they demonstrate strong technical fluency and customer-facing capability
  • Demonstrated experience operating in highly regulated environments, with an understanding of nuclear safety, quality, and compliance expectations
  • Proven experience in client-facing, relationship management, or technical business development roles supporting complex, engineered products or services
  • Experience in consultative or technical sales within nuclear or similarly regulated industries (energy, heavy industrial, aerospace, defense) preferred
  • Ability to effectively engage with technical, operational, procurement, and executive-level stakeholders
  • Familiarity with nuclear technologies such as dry storage of used nuclear fuel, heat transfer equipment, small modular reactors (SMRs), or high-level waste storage and transport systems preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and expand customer relationships in long-cycle, technically complex markets
  • Strong business development capability with the ability to navigate complex technical and commercial challenges
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear power facilities
