Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Irving, TX location.
Duties: Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content. Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability. Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standard. Create or maintain databases of known test defects. Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems. Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations. Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments. Investigate customer problems referred by technical support. Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks. Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source. Install and configure recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance. Collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions. Coordinate user or third-party testing. Conduct historical analyses of test results. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas. Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users. Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement. Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality. Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems. Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes. Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas. Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users. Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation performing coding and debugging applications. Five (5) years of experience must include: Monitoring and controlling various phases of development processes, analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation of the application using the JIRA Agile Board; Implementing Microservice Architecture using JAVA Spring Boot to streamline the multiple Services and optimize the communication between them using the Kafka cluster setup; Performing setup of the Jenkins server and building pipelines to provide continuous automated builds based on the GIT source control system; and Recommending security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality using the JWT and other efficient mechanisms. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience. Employer will accept pre- or post- Master's degree experience. 40 hrs./wk.
