This role translates engineering work into delivered outcomes by managing schedules, budgets, risks, and cross-functional coordination to ensure teams meet committed milestones.
As a Level III contributor, the Project Manager independently leads multiple concurrent engineering projects, working closely with engineering leadership, operations teams, and external partners. The role requires strong ownership of project execution, clear communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-moving engineering environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery for multiple concurrent engineering projects
  • Drive detailed project schedules, milestones, and dependencies across cross-functional engineering teams
  • Hold teams accountable to deadlines while balancing technical realities and business commitments
  • Identify risks early, escalate issues when needed, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Build and maintain project schedules using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management platforms
  • Manage project budgets and track spending against forecasts and program targets
  • Provide leadership with clear status updates, timeline forecasting, and risk visibility
  • Coordinate work across multiple engineering disciplines including software, systems, and mechatronics teams
  • Communicate effectively with technical contributors and engineering leadership to maintain alignment on priorities and deliverables
  • Remove blockers that prevent teams from making progress and maintain forward project momentum
  • Interface with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, and leadership teams
  • Coordinate with external vendors and third-party partners as required to support program milestones
  • Apply project management best practices to improve visibility, accountability, and execution rigor across engineering programs
  • Adapt project processes to support the realities of engineering-driven product development environments

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience managing technical or engineering-driven projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong experience developing and managing project schedules, milestones, and delivery plans
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ability to hold technical teams accountable to timelines while maintaining productive working relationships
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with highly technical engineering teams
  • Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms
  • Familiarity working in Agile or Scrum-based development environments
  • Experience using Jira or similar tools for backlog tracking and engineering coordination

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working in robotics, automation, industrial systems, or hardware/software product development environments
  • Experience supporting multiple engineering teams or programs simultaneously
  • PMP or Scrum certification

BENEFITS
ASI offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • 401k with employer match
  • Generous HSA contribution
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan
  • PTO, Paid Holidays, and Flextime
  • ASI covers 90% of employee medical plan costs
