Job description

At Turf Tank, we don’t just build technology; we build autonomous robots that paint sports fields for everyone, from local parks to NFL stadiums. We are a high-growth, global disruptor where the work is real, the deadlines are firm, and the impact is immediate.

We are seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager who thrives at the intersection of day‑to‑day execution and financial leadership. If you’re tired of “process for process’s sake” and want to own the numbers for a company that’s actually moving the needle, this is your opportunity.

The Mandate: Stabilize, Structure, Scale

As a working manager, you will lead US accounting operations, ensuring our financial engine runs as smoothly as our robots. Your primary objective? Make the month‑end close “boring” through relentless accuracy and better structure. When you succeed, leadership trusts the numbers without hesitation.

Your Ownership

Master the Close: Design and execute a consistent, documented 5‑day month‑end close. You own the process design and internal controls.

Clean the Slate: Reconcile every balance sheet account and standardize templates to ensure audit‑readiness at all times.

Optimize the Stack: Eliminate manual “spreadsheet gymnastics” by anchoring workflows in clean Microsoft Business Central (ERP) data and automated queries.

Control the Flow: Take full ownership of A/P and compliance—aiming for zero late fees and zero missed filings.

Lead the Team: Manage and mentor 1–2 direct reports, fostering a culture of extreme ownership and accuracy.

The Ideal Profile

Experience: 5+ years in accounting, with a proven track record of owning the full GL and end‑to‑end month‑end process.

Technical Chops: Power‑user status in Excel and ERP systems (Business Central experience is a significant advantage).

The “Chaser” Mindset: You don't wait for information to come to you. You proactively identify accounting needs and highlight the financial consequences of business changes.

The Blueprint: Background in scaling companies—specifically within manufacturing, logistics, or international environments—is a major plus.

Credentials: Bachelor’s in Accounting required; CPA or CPA‑track preferred.

Location: Omaha, NE or Marietta, GA (5 days/week in‑office). We believe in the energy of face‑to‑face collaboration.

Reporting: Head of Finance.

Collaboration: Work closely with US Finance leadership and the Global CFO.

Culture: A high-growth tech environment with the stability of a global market leader.

Why Turf Tank?

We value sound judgment, follow‑through, and winning as one team. We offer the grit of a startup with the footprint of an international powerhouse.
