Welcome to Driver Training Solutions - where the future takes to the road!

Position Overview
Driver Training Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Executive to join our growing Business Unit under Acron Aviation. This is an exciting role for an entrepreneurial sales professional with a strong hunter mentality, responsible for expanding our market reach and achieving aggressive revenue targets for our innovative driving training products, primarily defensive driving simulators and accompanying software.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, broad sales environment, engaging with a diverse portfolio of clients across commercial and government sectors. While product knowledge can be taught, demonstrated success in consultative new business development and managing complex sales cycles is paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development and manage all opportunities through the entire sales pipeline: prospecting, qualifying, proposing, capturing, negotiating, and closing sales for the Driver Business unit.
  • Focus on key markets including trucking and logistics, law enforcement (LE), Sanitation, and Transit.
  • Actively pursue and expand market share in developing segments such as sanitation and public transit/busing.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs across varied industries to position Acron Aviation's defensive driving simulators and software solutions effectively.
  • Provide valuable market intelligence and contribute to the development of strategic sales plans, business plans, and product development initiatives.
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations, represent Acron Aviation at tradeshows and conferences, and perform product demonstrations with customers.
  • Accurately forecast sales numbers and consistently achieve all financial objectives for the quarter and year.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure successful client onboarding and long-term satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for full-cycle account management and new business sales for the Driver Business Unit.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and proactively engaging with new prospects daily.
  • Drive sales of defensive driving simulators and driver training solutions to both commercial and government clients across various industries (including trucking, logistics, law enforcement, sanitation, public transit, and more).
  • Maintain an organized database (CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective and existing client information.
  • Identify and qualify new market potentials.
  • Serve as the primary or alternate point of contact for customers, building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals, and complete all required paperwork and processes, including responses to RFPs for government contracts.
  • Close sales by building rapport with potential accounts, expertly demonstrating product and service capabilities, overcoming objections, and preparing contracts.
  • Consistently follow up with current and potential customers and respond promptly to inquiries.
  • Proactively present new or additional products and services to new and existing customers.
  • Approach prospective customers through numerous mediums, including but not limited to cold-calling, email, social media, and trade shows.
  • Produce timely and detailed reports on sales activities and pipeline status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior experience in business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-government (B2G) new business development and consultative sales; OR a graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of previous experience in similar sales roles; OR a minimum of 10 years of prior related sales experience instead of a degree.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving significant new revenue.
  • Valid U.S Driver’s License.
  • Valid U.S Passport or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation and accountability.
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and maintain a positive, persistent attitude when reaching out to potential clients.
  • Experience in B2B or B2G sales within sectors such as transportation, logistics, law enforcement, public safety, or government agencies is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficient in MS Office products and CRM software.
  • Experience building pipelines through strategic partnerships, channel partners, and internal team collaboration.
  • Highly persuasive, goal-oriented, and adept at closing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong ability to understand technical products and effectively communicate their value to diverse audiences.
