Job description

Description: Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO Our client seeks a Field Tactical Network Engineer to serve as the focal point and subject matter expert for Program Manager C2 Transport efforts across PdM Network Modernization, At-the-Halt, On-the-Move, and SATCOM networks. The role manages configurations, testing, and documentation, provides systems engineering oversight, coordinates development and integration activities, and supports units with planning, setup, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and teardown of tactical networks. This position requires collaboration with unit and stakeholder leadership and delivery of briefings on systems engineering and network architecture planning.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration.

Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2 JN -062026-107399 Responsibilities: * Serve as subject matter expert for PdM NetMod, ATH, OTM, and SATCOM networks.

* Identify and report problems, recommend resolutions, and manage system configurations and incident documentation. * Configure, validate, and test Tactical Networks systems delivered to units. * Exercise technical leadership to align actions, schedules, and resolve conflicting viewpoints.

* Coordinate system development tasks with systems engineering leads to address integration challenges and new requirements. * Provide systems engineering oversight for SATCOM systems, baseband networking equipment, and software development. * Collaborate across embedded support teams to implement plans of action and meet program objectives.

* Represent our client at planning conferences with units and partner organizations. * Develop and present briefings on systems engineering, network architecture planning, and test status. * Support network planning, setup, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and teardown.

* Work closely with unit CFSRs, S6 staff, and other personnel to coordinate activities. Experience Requirements: * Eight years of related tactical network engineering experience minimum, or fifteen years without a bachelor's degree. * Extensive experience in network engineering with a record of delivering high-quality solutions.

* Knowledge of network services such as DNS, DHCP, Mail, Active Directory, SharePoint, and related user services desired. * Specialized experience as an engineer in industry or military service is desired. * Experience with PdM Network Modernization products desired.

* Ability to work an uncommon tour including nights, weekends, and holidays as mission requires. * Occasional travel as required. * Active Secret clearance and United States citizenship required.

Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Testing, or related field, plus eight years of related experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted with an additional seven years of related tactical network engineering experience.
