Job description

Job Description Bryn Mawr Trust, a WSFS Company, provides locally managed and collaborative wealth management solutions, including a broad array of planning and advisory services, investment management, trust and estate planning, brokerage and investment services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients through multiple integrated businesses. The Municipal Bond Credit Analyst/PM reports directly to the Director of Fixed Income. This role is responsible for all areas of the firm’s municipal bond portfolio management including municipal bond trading, portfolio construction and issuer due diligence/credit research. In addition, this position will contribute to daily fixed income trading across other fixed income sectors for client portfolios.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed analysis across municipal bond issuers and sectors.
  • Actively construct and manage municipal bond portfolios for clients.
  • Develop and maintain municipal bond strategies across SMA accounts balancing client risk/return objectives.
  • Strong and existing knowledge/understanding of the municipal bond market and geographic locations.
  • Update and maintain the municipal bond issuer approved buy list.
  • Monitor all credits on the list.
  • Manage daily municipal bond trading across client portfolios.
  • Monitor trade order screens to ensure timely execution of Investment Advisor trade orders.
  • Remain current on developments within the municipal bond industry.
  • Contribute to market and economic commentary while staying on top of current trends.
  • Serve as the municipal bond expert within the organization.
  • Execute fixed income trades across multiple fixed income trading platforms including but not limited to Fidelity, Altruist, Schwab, BondNav, iCAP, Bloomberg, and Tradeweb.
  • Assigned additional duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Fixed Income and Chief Investment Officer.
  • Maintain compliance with all firm and regulatory guidelines and procedures including MSRB.
  • Provide fixed income support to Investment Advisors regarding fixed income strategies and fixed income investments.
  • Strong understanding of municipal bond valuations and adhering to best price and execution.
  • Proven track record in managing municipal bond SMA strategy is preferred.
  • Strong municipal bond credit analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of trading on various custodian fixed income trading platforms as well as Bloomberg and Tradeweb.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience working as a municipal bond credit analyst and/or portfolio manager.
  • Must have an advanced level in Microsoft Office suite, including analyzing data and using formulas in Excel, drafting documents in Word, and creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • CFA designation and or advanced degree is preferred.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, integrity, and process excellence.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaborator who builds trust across senior leadership, advisors, and teams; Ability to adapt a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence.
  • Strong communication, analysis and interpersonal skills, with the presence to engage with senior leadership and external partners.

Salary Range: $111,440.00 - $183,082.25 Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
