Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support enterprise network environments across Service Assurance and Delivery functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining network stability, performing troubleshooting, implementing network changes, executing IOS upgrades, supporting equipment refresh initiatives, and participating in network transformation projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to provide rotational on-call support.

Key Responsibilities
Service Assurance
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network incidents across LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, and Data Center environments.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage and resolve P1/P2 incidents within defined SLA targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, service providers, and vendors to restore services quickly.
  • Support network performance monitoring and capacity management activities.

Network Delivery
  • Execute network implementation projects, including new deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Perform Cisco IOS upgrades and software maintenance activities.
  • Lead equipment refresh and lifecycle management programs.
  • Configure and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and related network infrastructure.
  • Participate in network design reviews, testing, and production implementations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, MOPs, and implementation guides.

Change & Operations
  • Participate in change management processes and CAB activities.
  • Ensure all network changes are executed following established operational procedures and compliance standards.
  • Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity activities.
  • Maintain accurate network inventory, configurations, and asset records.

Required Technical Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with:
    • BGP
    • OSPF
    • EIGRP
    • MPLS
    • VPN Technologies (IPSec, DMVPN, SSL VPN)
    • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT
    • VLANs and Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Familiarity with network security concepts and firewall technologies.

Qualifications
  • CCNP Certification preferred.
  • Equivalent enterprise-level networking experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
  • Experience working in large enterprise or managed network environments.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be willing to participate in a rotational on-call support schedule.
  • Ability to support maintenance windows during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
