Job Title: Electrical Engineer SME - RF Design Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US Anticipated Posting End: 1/1/2027 The Opportunity: CACI is looking for an Electrical RF Engineer SME to join our design engineering team. As one of our Electrical Engineers in the team you will be responsible for engaging in design, development, integration, sustainment, & testing of system components to meet established mission requirements. This position will be involved in all phases of system development including requirements analysis, system design, architecture development, manufacturing, assembly and test. Successful RF Engineers are self-motivated and work effectively in team or individual situations. They have excellent communication skills and can handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously. Responsibilities: * Responsible for designing and developing RF system architecture.\
* Decomposes customer requirements and defines key RF capabilities and performance requirements for solutions or products with supporting electrical and performance parameters.
* Identifies and assesses commercial component solutions for complex RF systems.
* Possesses demonstrated mastery of RF communication principles and other RF and aperture engineering domain knowledge in order to design, develop, and support system advancement against mission requirements.
* Defines total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements.
* Develops system element architecture and design and interface definitions.
* Defines system implementation approach and operational concept. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
* Provides technical and strategic direction related to the implementation of system architecture by other staff.
* Competent communicator with executives and key program stakeholders. Qualifications: Required * BS in electrical engineering or similar field and minimum of 7 years of applicable experience.
* Exposure to standard Engineering Process and terms such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical
* Design Review (CDR), Customer Acceptance, Product Life Management Review (PLM)
Familiarity with RF analysis tools and methods including GRASP, Ansys STK, MATLAB, and Keysight Genesys
* Broad knowledge of digital communication signals
* Operating experience utilizing lab equipment including: Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, and custom test equipment
* Excellent organization, communication and writing skills, and the ability to express yourself in technical discussion via strategy, implementation and system & subsystem design Desired * Masters or PhD in RF engineering.
* Seven years of RF engineering development experience in the DoD environment.
* Expertise working with DoD partners to define requirements.
* Expertise with DoD RF systems.
* Expertise developing and improving system development processes, including familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering.
