In the Americas, the Strategic Advisory Team is comprised of over 250 professionals across the Finance, Energy, Mining, and Corporate Sustainability practices, and is now looking for a Senior Principal Consultant to help manage and grow the Finance Advisory - Transactional Due Diligence practice.
Role
As our new Senior Principal Consultant, you will play an important role in managing and growing our team of EHS professionals and our base of M&A clients throughout the Americas and Globally.
We'll look to you to manage service projects for a broad industrial client base, while mentoring rising talent by providing technical oversight and leadership that fosters a culture of growth and excellence.
Preferred locations include Texas, Illinois, Atlanta, New York, Ontario.
The ideal candidate will have:
experience performing, managing, and reviewing Environmental Health and Safety Assessments for a wide variety of private equity, legal, financial services, and industrial sector clients in support of global M&A due diligence
experience in proposal preparation, budgeting, and scoping of due diligence related work, as well as building and growing clients
active clients and expertise in client management, internal staff management, and the management of multiple project efforts and project teams; including coordination with staff resources, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
excellent communication and writing skills that include the ability to review and provide feedback on proposals, reports, and other technical documents
a strong, relevant employment background, existing clients and client contacts, and a passion for environmental work
Responsibilities:
Be client facing and able to identify and develop new opportunities
Provide clear, concise business-focused findings, recommendations and options regarding client deliverables
Collaborate in a team atmosphere to plan and meet timelines and requirements along with budget goals
Develop, track and document project expectations and budget

Qualifications/Education/Memberships:
Degree in Engineering, Science, Geology, Business, or related field
15+ years of experience working at a high-level with corporate and/or financial and legal clients
Be able to recognize and evaluate environmental impact, compliance and health and safety risks associated with all types of real estate, commercial and industrial operations, as well as legacy environmental liabilities
Experience evaluating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programs and initiatives
Knowledge of transaction related documents (i.e., purchase agreements, disclosure schedules), environmental insurance policies, and indemnification agreements
Experience in managing various levels of consulting staff
Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented
Ability to work well independently as well as a part of a team
Self-motivated and willing to learn and grow as a consultant
Ability to interface with clients and internal stakeholders
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, uncertain, high-pressure environment with the ability to change directions and scope quickly
Capabilities and experience with regulators, including negotiations related to client work objectives, a plus
