Qualifications

PURPOSE OF JOB:  

This role is responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales configuration, pricing, direction and technical assistance to internal and external customers for the product lines.  Assist customers and colleagues in understanding requirements, performing configurations, and proposing accurate cost-effective solutions for hardware, software and/or products.  This individual solves sales support problems, acts as a focal point for inside sales coverage and escalation of sales issues and answers salesperson's product related questions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

             Acts as a primary subject matter expert in providing pre and post sales configuration, pricing and technical assistance on complex requests to internal and external customers  

             Obtain and Maintain high-level technical HP certifications

             Coordinate with partner to obtain SOW and pricing for custom services

             Develop and maintain relationships with distributor points of contact

             Act in a team lead capacity by assisting and mentoring more junior team members in resolving technical and process issues

             Lead efforts to develop technical solutions for customers that solve customer IT problems 

             Leads efforts during conference calls directly with customers to obtain requirements and provide recommendations

             Lead efforts to develop product demonstrations/prototypes and be capable of providing demonstrations in the Lab

             Maintain and improve processes and tools for the support of the focused partner

             Assists with designing and architecting solutions in Visio and other similar software applications

             Assist in proposal efforts by attending proposal meetings and providing recommendations based on subject matter expertise

             Prior experience solving complex pre and post-sales support problems is required.  

             Prior experience providing technical support to the federal, state or local government is preferred.  Experience working with government purchase orders is preferred.

             Required to obtain and maintain specific vendor and partner certifications to support business goals and objectives.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

             Knowledge of Sales Builder for Windows (SBW) HP configuration tool

8 to 10 years of experience providing pre-sales support for HP server and storage product lines.

             2+ years of specifically supporting HP Proliant and Blade Server solutions             

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: 

             Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING: 

             Required: HP advanced level technical and sales certifications.                  

             Preferred:  Microsoft Office, Salesforce
