Job description

Victory Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynamo Technologies. Victory Solutions is a Small Disadvantaged Business providing quality technical and engineering services to NASA, the DoD, Industry and academia.

Early-career Data Management professional experienced with performing data management functions to support the Space Nuclear Propulsion (SNP) Project at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) on the MSFC CDM contract. SNP is a development project to determine the feasibility of nuclear propulsion engines for deep space exploration. This position will be part of an existing Configuration & Data Management team supporting tasks such as managing data deliverables, change package, processing, and related administration tasks. SharePoint will be used to support the change management process and maintain the program baseline and deliverables, and the Atlassian project management suite (especially Confluence and Jira) will be used to supplement SharePoint. In addition, assisting in the development of Project Change Board (PCB) presentations, managing action tracking, and other tasks in support of managing SNP data products and change management are key tasks. Successful implementation requires initiative and flexibility to meet program milestones as well as an understanding the principals of CDM. Attention to detail and ability to work under existing CDM Functional Lead is key.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide back-up support to existing change package management process and PCB as needed. This includes specific CDM tasks in the current change package management process, as well as development and maintenance of agendas, minutes, and action logs.
  • Provide Data Management (DM) guidance and support to SNP under the direction of the CDM Functional Lead.
  • Assist with developing/making recommendations for improvements to data management processes, including data organization, identification, control, and maintenance procedures.
  • Utilize SharePoint for managing access to and storing Project data.
  • Support Records Management (RM) processes as part of ongoing archival activities per MSFC RM requirements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the SNP CDM Plan or CDM sections within the SNP Project Plan.
  • Implement data management in the electronic environment which may include establishing file/folder structures, capturing meta data, and creating input processes and forms for distribution to internal and external customers to meet project goals.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), ITAR and other export control or proprietary contractor data following NASA and MSFC requirements and guidelines.
  • Provided Data Quality Assurance (DQA).
  • Serve, alongside the CDM Functional Lead, as the Receipt/Release Desk for data coming into Space nuclear propulsion.
  • Attend weekly meetings, programmatic reviews, and associated briefings as requested.
  • Work closely with SNP workforce to fulfill respective CM and DM requirements.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5 years of applicable Data Management experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point) is required.
  • Experience utilizing tools/systems to store and manage data is required.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills are required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint for content/document management and task tracking are required.
  • Ability to learn new tasks and work effectively and independently as part of a team is required.
  • Ability to obtain access onsite at NASA MSFC is required (requires a STAR ID for badging).
  • Records management and archival experience is desired.
  • Professional CDM certification such as National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) CDM certification or equivalent is desired.
  • Some familiarity with the Atlassian project management suite (especially Confluence and Jira) is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain clearance/access onsite at NASA MSFC is required (requires a STAR ID for badging).
  • US Citizenship required.
