Overview

We’re hiringSenior CNC Programmersfor a precision manufacturing facility supporting aerospace and defense industries. This role goes well beyond writing toolpaths—you’ll own the manufacturing process from customer model review through first article approval and production release, helping determine how some of the shop’s most complex components are manufactured.

You’ll work alongside manufacturing engineers and senior machinists to develop stable, repeatable machining processes usingSiemens NX CAM, programming advancedHermle 5-axis machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and other high-end equipment. You’ll influence tooling, workholding, setup strategy, and automation while partnering directly with the machinists proving out your programs on the floor.

Responsibilities
  • CAM Programming:Develop CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM.
  • Process Development:Build manufacturing processes from model through production.
  • New Product Introduction:Support NPI planning, prove-outs, and first articles.
  • Manufacturing Strategy:Develop tooling and workholding solutions.
  • Documentation:Create setup sheets and manufacturing documentation.
  • Floor Support:Assist machinists during prove-outs and production launches.
  • Continuous Improvement:Improve cycle times, setups, and process stability.
  • Cross-Functional Support:Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Customer Programs:Support successful execution of complex manufacturing projects.
  • Mentorship:Help develop machinists and junior programmers.
Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of CNC programming experience
  • Complex 5-axis programming experience
  • Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Manufacturing process development experience
  • Siemens NX CAM experience
  • First article and production release experience
  • Manufacturing documentation experience

Preferred

  • Aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing
  • Mill-turn programming experience
  • AS9100 manufacturing experience
  • Siemens or Heidenhain controls
  • Automation or lights-out manufacturing
  • Titanium or nickel alloy machining
  • Experience mentoring programmers or machinists
