Job description

Materials Management Associate - 1st shift
We are hiring a Materials Management Associate for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. For this role, you would be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus upon being in the role for 90 days.
Hours of Work - Eagan, Minnesota
  • 1st Shift 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
  • Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts

About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Materials Management Associate, you will:
  • Drive a powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, clamps, or trailer hitch, to safely push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
  • Monitor and maintain balers and trim collection. This requires periodic roof access to check trim collection system for jam.
  • Correctly grade paper for recycling, organize paper types and accurately maintain weight and bale count.
  • Unload & load trucks, performing goods receipts, cycle counting, and order delivery.
  • Utilize ERP (e.g., SAP, MII) and/or radio frequency (RF) equipment to obtain information or enter transactions regarding material/product movement activities.
  • Pick, sort or pack picked items in appropriate packaging; ensuring that the product arrives to the customer in quality condition.
  • Monitor, stock and transport materials or finished goods to designated area or assigned storage location.
  • Inventory materials and finished goods and maintain records, rejecting unsatisfactory items as needed.
  • Research and process returns, accurately recording information in ERP and determining whether product should return to stock based on quality.
  • Provide data to internal departments as requested.
  • Accurately documents activities on Tier Boards.
  • Familiarity operating a 2-way radio for communication.
  • Perform daily maintenance and charges batteries if needed.
  • Actively participate in the company safety program to ensure compliance and contribute to safety culture.
  • Meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures.
  • Implement, perform and sustain housekeeping procedures to maintain work area and equipment.
  • Recommend process improvements; implement process improvements.
  • Participate in project teams as needed.
  • Other duties as apparent or assigned.

About You:
You're a fit for the role of Materials Management Associate if you have the following required qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1-2+ years' experience
  • Preference for previous lift truck experience
  • Some experience working in a shipping, receiving and/or warehouse environment
  • Preference for experience with enterprise resource systems (e.g., SAP)

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment displays, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
  • Able to be certified and operate power material handling equipment
  • Basic math skills
  • Able to work overtime and flex schedule as required to meet customer demand
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to send and receive oral communications via 2-way radios
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently or in a team environment

The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $32,200 USD - $59,800 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
