Role Overview

Gallagher is seeking a Digital Content Manager to lead and inspire a team of content editors as part of our Marketing Studio team. In this role, you will oversee the creation of dynamic, optimized digital content that drives leads and enhances the user experience across Gallagher's websites and creative copy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage content workflows, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, audience-focused content that aligns with our business goals and brand standards.

The Digital Content Manager will be a strategic leader with a passion for digital and creative campaign content, bringing a proven ability to manage teams and projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and leadership skills to drive impactful content strategies.

  • Leadership and Team Management: The Digital Content Manager will oversee and mentor a team of content creators, copywriters, and proofreaders, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • SEO Expertise: This role involves developing content strategies with search engine optimization (SEO) at the forefront, identifying keywords and topics, and ensuring their effective integration into content.
  • Creative Copywriting: The Digital Content Manager will demonstrate proficiency in developing copy for campaigns across multiple activation channels, including social media, email, and events, with a focus on establishing, evaluating, and enhancing content performance across platforms.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analytics will be used to inform content strategies, optimize page flow, and enhance audience engagement.
  • Experienced Communication: Managing stakeholder relationships, setting expectations, and collaborating with global teams will be key responsibilities.
  • B2B Expertise: Experience in B2B and B2B2C content creation is essential, with a portfolio of diverse projects (experience in insurance and consulting is a plus).

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of web content editors, copywriters, and proofreaders. Create a culture of best practice sharing with all writing resources within the Marketing Studio fostering collaboration and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with creative, digital, and division marketing teams to align content strategies with business goals and campaign objectives.
  • Content Workflow Management: Oversee content workflows, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Campaign Support: Collaborate with Campaign Strategists, Creative, and Web teams to develop content experiences that align with marketing campaigns.
  • Style Guide Oversight: Partner with Global Brand team and enforce digital style guides across multiple brands, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand voice and tone.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously refine content processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and collaboration.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about competitors and their differentiators to ensure Gallagher's content remains competitive and innovative.
  • Content Performance Alignment: Establish and promote best practices for content performance across all campaign activation channels, ensuring direct reports and collaborators are aligned on strategies to optimize engagement, lead generation, and user experience.

About You

Position Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 7 years of experience in digital marketing, content development, or creative roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in B2B, insurance, or risk management is a plus.
  • Digital Expertise: Proven ability to create and oversee SEO-driven content, optimize page layouts, and proofread digital content for engagement and lead generation.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work with creative, digital, and division marketing teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Sitecore, SEMRush, Ceros, Marketing Cloud, Workfront, Smartsheets, Figma, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects across different phases and global regions, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Global Flexibility: Willingness to adjust working hours to collaborate with global stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Content: Demonstrated experience in leveraging data and business goals to create content that drives engagement and conversions.
  • Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Portuguese) is a plus.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
