This role (Edwards formal title of Group Product Manager, Marketing) is an exciting opportunity for an innovative marketing professional with broad experience to join the AI&T Strategic Marketing team as we drive evidence-based marketing strategy for the APTURE program and shape the evolving market of device solutions for the treatment of heart failure. This role defines and drives upstream marketing activities for the APTURE program, including clinical marketing, product development, and competitive intelligence initiatives.

This role is an onsite role based at Edwards' corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of the APTURE program across the product lifecycle by defining the product vision, prioritizing unmet clinical needs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to inform product design and messaging
  • Closely collaborate with Medical Affairs in the development and execution of a targeted global podium strategy to maximize the impact of differentiated APTURE evidence via late-breaking data, presentations, and symposia
  • Closely collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and physicians on data and evidence presentations to amplify APTURE messaging across multiple channels
  • Develop robust product development roadmaps and drive alignment with leadership and cross-functional partners, especially R&D and Clinical Affairs
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret voice of customer (VOC) and market research to define product requirements and inform future portfolio development initiatives
  • Develop and communicate APTURE's differentiated value proposition in a continuously evolving space, with alignment from multiple cross-functions
  • Create and disseminate print materials, speaker decks, and other assets to amplify APTURE data and value proposition, with alignment from multiple functions
  • Identify, track, predict, and prepare for new and existing competitive strategies
  • Effectively showcase our portfolio of therapies and clinical data for both internal and external audiences
  • Plan and direct strategic marketing activities, including prioritizing and selecting appropriate projects with overall responsibility for meeting business objectives
  • Develop key relationships with KOLs, physicians, leadership, and cross-functional partners across the organization through exceptional executive communication
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of product development process (PDP) and the Heart Failure space, providing insights to inform the APTURE product roadmap, claims substantiation plan, and KOL partnership strategy
  • Provide direction to project teams based on expert understanding of internal and external product / market dynamics (e.g., product functionality, lifecycle, customer research, clinical evidence)
  • Direct external vendors, creative agencies, and consultants as needed

Domestic and international travel up to 25%

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with a minimum of 10 years of related experience working in marketing or healthcare industry, or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria, OR
  • Master's Degree in related field with a minimum of 8 years of related experience working in marketing or healthcare industry, or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria

  • Marketing experience in the lifesciences industry (upstream medical device marketing highly preferred)

  • Ability to analyze scientific/clinical trial data and translate complex clinical and market insights into clear, actionable marketing strategies, inputs, and messages
  • Experience evaluating voice of customer market research needs, drafting and executing discussion guides and survey questionnaires.
  • Experience translating unmet needs into product and program requirements
  • Self-starter mindset and track record of flexing as business needs evolve
  • Strong understanding of marketing across the product lifecycle, including clinical, competitive, and physician engagement strategies
  • Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration skills across marketing, strategy, clinical, and R&D teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous, evolving environment
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with physicians and key opinion leaders

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $145,000 to $205,000 (highly experienced).
