Position Overview:
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
The Marketing Communications Specialist supports the creation and execution of internal and external marketing communication plans. This position assists internal teams and external vendors with marketing communication deliverables, while developing and implementing well-written content across various channels.
We are looking for a candidate with exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to implement effective communication strategies and tactics. This position requires someone with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. We are looking for a creative, curious, outgoing, team player.
This is role will report to our Thief River Falls, Minnesota or Bloomington, Minnesota campus a minimum of two days per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Support effective communications plans including writing and editing a variety of content
  • Write and edit communication content including but not limited to email copy, press releases, articles, company profiles, video scripts, etc.
  • Assess, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and demands simultaneously
  • Partner with internal and external partners on various communication-related requests
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of multiple forms of strategic communication content across multiple channels
  • Assist in the drafting, review, and revision of a variety of marketing communication materials
  • Attend internal and external communication meetings as requested

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, English, journalism, or marketing
  • Typically, 1-2 years of relevant communications experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of writing styles
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Viva Amplify

Physical Requirements:
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

The base pay range for this position is:
$23.25
to
$32.00
