Responsibilities

  • Independently program complex components using Mastercam
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines with minimal supervision
  • Optimize programs, tooling, and machining processes to improve efficiency
  • Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to machinists
  • Verify part quality through precision measuring equipment and inspection procedures
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues
  • Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
  • Collaborate with engineering and management to improve manufacturing processes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC milling experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to independently program in Mastercam
  • Strong setup and operation experience on CNC mills
  • Experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace or high-precision components preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T
  • Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, feeds and speeds, and machining strategies

Preferred Experience

  • 5-axis machining experience strongly preferred
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is preferred, but strong technical leaders ready to step into a leadership role are encouraged to apply
  • Aerospace manufacturing
  • High-mix, low-volume production
  • Continuous improvement/process optimization
  • Training and mentoring machinists
