Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients as they enter the suite.
  • Ensure that all clients/visitors have signed in the office sign in sheet.
  • Verify appoint calendar to ensure confirmed appointments.
  • Assist with initial client screening, referrals, and appointment scheduling.
  • Provide intake forms to new clients.
  • Any clients that have not been in the office in more than 1year).
  • Notify staff of appointments.
  • Track and receive payments of client legal fees.
  • Assist with the preparation of immigration forms under the supervision of the Program Director/Attorney, such as family petitions, asylum, waivers, extensions of status and naturalization applications.
  • Open cases in Law Logix (LLX) and follow case assignment protocol.
  • Assist with the maintenance of organized filing/case management system.
  • Prepare letters to clients in English and Spanish under the direction of the Program Director.
  • Assist with compilation of program statistics, report and timesheets.
  • Assist with inventory and ordering of office supplies.
  • Translate legal document from Spanish to English.
