Job Description

McBride Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Manager providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/ISR SOF (AFLCMC/HB). The Air Force Program Execution Office for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Special Operations (PEO ISR SOF) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the ISR SOF portfolio, which includes over 200 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO ISR SOF is headquartered at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS. This position supports the FMS Division (AWACS (E3)) supporting the Japan (JASDF), as part of the International Airborne Battle Management Command and Control (FMS) Division; AFLMC(WIW). The WIW Division located at Tinker AFB (OK), and Hanscom AFB (MA), with dispersed support at Eglin AFB, Seattle WA, San Antonio TX and several OCONUS positions.

This is a full-timerole in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate will provide senior‑level acquisition logistics and sustainment support throughout the weapon system lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing logistics strategies, sustainment plans, business case analyses, acquisition documentation, and lifecycle support solutions to ensure operational readiness and mission success across complex Air Force programs.
Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Determine and correlate requirements for funding, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services with program objectives and acquisition plans.
  • Coordinate with Product Support Managers and other stakeholders to maintain comprehensive logistics and sustainment plans, including support to joint and coalition partners.
  • Support the development and execution of life cycle logistics strategies for weap meet mission requirements.
  • Provide analytical support for logistics metrics, sustainment reviews, and program assessments.
  • Assist in the planning, evaluation, and implementation of acquisition and sustainment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain acquisition and sustainment documentation supporting all phases of the program lifecycle.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings supporting acquisition milestones, sustainment reviews, and program decision events.
  • Conduct Business Case Analyses (BCAs), trade studies, market research, and other logistics analyses in support of program objectives.
  • Provide logistics support to acquisition planning activities, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), specifications, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and other acquisition documentation.
  • Develop Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs), Product Support BCAs, Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) packages, Source of Repair Assignment (SORA) packages, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plans.
  • Support asset visibility, supply chain management, and logistics data analysis activities to ensure sustainment readiness and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and support acquisition milestone documentation, program assessments, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) studies, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP) briefings, Economic Security and Industrial Studies (ESIS), and related program documentation.
  • Provide logistics expertise supporting system delivery, deployment planning, depot activation, modification programs, and sustainment transitions on systems and associated support equipment.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve sustainment and product support challenges impacting program execution.
  • Develop, manage, and adjust logistics plans, schedules, and program documentation.
Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance

  • Comprehensive knowledge of systems acquisition principles, policies, and practices as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5000.75.
  • Experience supporting acquisition logistics, sustainment planning, product support, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes, milestone reviews, and sustainment planning requirements.
  • Experience developing acquisition documentation, logistics studies, business case analyses, and program management briefings.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a professional discipline from an accredited educational program and 12 years of directly related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoDOR

  • 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in DoD
  • Experience supporting Air Force acquisition organizations and weapon system sustainment programs.
  • Experience supporting AWACS, Wedgetail, airborne command and control, ISR, or special operations programs.
  • Experience with depot maintenance planning, DMSMS management, product support strategies, and supply chain analytics.
