Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Building Automation for Americas ISC Planning. This pivotal role reports directly to the Vice President of Building Automation (BA) Planning and is matrixed to the Americas ISC Operations Leader. As a key leader, you will partner closely with Site Leaders, Operations, Commercial teams, and other essential functions to enhance factory planning and effectively manage earned hours, while consistently meeting customer demand and working capital targets.
This role demands a hands-on, collaborative approach to project management, with a proven ability to lead large-scale, vertically integrated insourcing / localization initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong cross-functional leadership skills, deep commercial acumen, and the ability to engage directly with customers to align priorities, eliminate obstacles, and ensure seamless execution in a dynamic production and demand landscape.
Contributions will be instrumental in advancing our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) strategy, by leading planning efforts grounded in the four ISC Strategic Pillars: simplicity, systemic connectivity, agility, and flexibility. Responsibilities will include establishing clear global processes that align with the Accelerator framework, facilitating data-driven decisions, and effectively connecting demand, supply, production, and inventory throughout the end-to-end supply chain. Fostering organizational resilience by swiftly responding to demand fluctuations will be critical to your success.
Leveraging these strategic pillars will facilitate a customer-obsessed culture through superior service and reliable material availability, enhance employee satisfaction by minimizing cross-functional friction, empower teams through automation, and exceed financial expectations by making disciplined trade-offs and optimizing working capital. Required

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience inSIOP / IBP, Demand Planning, or Supply Chain Planningwithin complex, global businesses.
  • 5+ years of experience leadingsenior-level and/or global planning teamswith demonstrated business impact.
  • Direct, hands-on experience withKinaxis / IBP or other Advanced Planning Toolin a planning leadership or transformation role.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner withall cross functional levels in the organization in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and drive clear decisions and effective change management.

Preferred

  • Master's degree (e.g., MBA or related field).
  • Experience inbuilding automation, building technologies, industrial, or technology-driven B2Benvironments.
  • Experience Planning in SAP / S4 Hana
  • Familiarity withLean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Direct Manufacturing site or purchasing leadership experience

- Technology Utilization: Lead the deployment of advanced planning tools, such as Kinaxis or Integrated Business Planning (IBP), to improve supply chain efficiency, optimize production schedules, and reduce volatility in supplier interactions.
- Finished Goods and Raw Material Management: Oversee overall inventory management to minimize excess, mitigate obsolescence risks, and ensure a seamless flow of materials from suppliers to production locations.
- Communication and Change Management: Utilize a strong cross-functional acumen to effectively collaborate with commercial, functional, and customer-facing teams, driving meaningful change throughout the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and pursue opportunities for process enhancement within supply, inventory, and materials planning functions. Implement best practices, leverage technological advancements, and stay attuned to industry trends to promote ongoing operational efficiency.
