General Job Summary:

The General Manager provides strategic, operational, and security focused leadership for a site responsible for assembling, integrating, and delivering military propulsion systems. This role ensures the facility consistently meets U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, customer commitments, and corporate objectives across safety, quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and workforce development.

As the senior site leader, the General Manager oversees complex defense engine assembly operations, including integration of controlled technologies, management of secure work areas, and adherence to ITAR, DFARS, and other national security regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage day-to-day operations to meet production targets and sustainment commitments while ensuring high quality and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee P&L performance, capital investments, controlled infrastructure, and facilities strategies to support growth and evolving defense program requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and increase profitability.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, oversee inventory management of engine components, and ensure a steady flow of materials.
  • Implement and enforce robust quality control (QC) procedures, ensuring engines meet technical specifications and ISO standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with security and regulatory requirements including ITAR, CMMC, AS9100, DCMA oversight, and military customer audits.
  • Partner closely with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Defense Contracts teams to deliver hardware that meets technical specification and delivery schedules.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget, control manufacturing costs, and analyze financial performance against targets.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, including assembly and test technicians, quality inspectors, and supervisors, fostering a safe and motivated workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly, engine components, and engine testing procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years in manufacturing operations, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Plant Manager, Director of Manufacturing).

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Office and manufacturing environment
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment)

Travel Requirements:

  • May require occasional travel to suppliers, customers, and corporates offices.

Work Location:

  • Based in Bristow, OK (located between Oklahoma City and Tulsa)
  • Strong connection to Jupiter, FL facility - will be working on site in Jupiter extensively during the first year of employment
