Summary
The Audio Technician is responsible for recording student recitals, guest artists, audition recordings, archival work and assisting the Recording Manager and Director of Recording.

Essential Functions
  • Record, edit, mix, and live-stream audio and video for BGSU concerts and events
  • Record audio and video for student recording sessions
  • Provide front-of-house sound reinforcement for live CMA events
  • Complete and deliver assigned post-production within a maximum 2-week timeframe
  • Adhere to detailed media production specifications
  • Run tech rehearsals for student degree and non-degree recitals on campus

Minimum Qualifications
  • Successful completion of one of the following courses: MUCT 4360, MUCT 5360, MUCT 4440, MDIA 1992, MDIA 2620, MDIA 4890, or successful completion of equivalent audio production coursework at another college or university
  • Ability to follow an agreed-upon work schedule that includes evenings and weekends as necessitated by the CMA event calendar
  • Prompt and professional communication skills
