Job description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide market insights to support the strategic sales plan while maintaining a strong understanding of all commercial aspects of the automotive market (T&Cs, SSOW, SQM, CSR, etc.).
  • Research industry trends and conduct competitive analysis across technology, capabilities, and pricing to guide sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business growth.
  • Review contracts to ensure customer purchase orders align with quoted terms and that quoted margins meet approved guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit final customer quotes while identifying valuemax opportunities to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure new programs launch on time and within budget, applying knowledge of APQP and AIAG processes.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams on all technical and commercial aspects of assigned programs and deliver customer presentations as needed.
  • Manage daily accountlevel responsibilities, including quote development, revenue forecasting, program scheduling, expense tracking, technical issue monitoring, and reporting on program performance and cost estimates.
  • Oversee customer pricing, maintain toplevel customer relationships, and ensure targeted profitability is achieved and sustained.
  • Provide direction and support to the project team to ensure successful program execution.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required.
  • 5–10 years of sales experience within automotive manufacturing required.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting a Europeanowned organization or working with intercultural teams preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge and expertise in sales techniques, relationship building, and negotiating skills.
  • Vision to pursue new markets, customers and products while handling assigned responsibilities.
  • Able to close high impact sales and minimize customer price/cost reduction impact.
  • Ability to educate Customers on Welser and Roll Forming capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicting interests.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP and other related software applications.

Physical Requirements

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds regularly and 20 pounds occasionally.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle, feel, reach, and grasp. The employee is occasionally required to balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
