Job description

We are seeking a Lab Operations Technician to support daily operations within a pharmaceutical/analytical laboratory. This position is responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, supplies, work areas, and materials in accordance with GMP, safety, and SOP requirements.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a laboratory environment while supporting analysts and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked workspace.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general laboratory support duties and assist with daily laboratory operations.
  • Manually clean laboratory glassware and operate laboratory dishwashers as required.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and workstations according to approved SOPs.
  • Prepare the laboratory for daily activities, including stocking supplies, materials, and consumables.
  • Maintain weekly inventory of laboratory supplies, cleaning agents, and consumables.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation and maintain accurate records.
  • Support analysts with sample management, material handling, and laboratory organization.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain laboratory solutions and materials as instructed.
  • Complete required forms, documentation, and database entries accurately.
  • Properly dispose of laboratory materials, waste, and samples according to established procedures.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, SOP, and laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Work effectively with team members and provide support as needed.
  • Perform additional laboratory support duties after appropriate training.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
  • 0–1 years of relevant experience; laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, analytical, QC, or GMP laboratory is preferred.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment and use standard laboratory equipment.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move laboratory materials and supplies.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds while following appropriate safety and ergonomic practices.
  • Ability to read printed materials and computer screens and communicate effectively in person and by telephone
