The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Phase 4 Modernization implementation activities ensuring successful installation, testing, cutover, and System Acceptance of modernized Base Area Network infrastructure. Up to 25% travel will be required for travel to oversee base projects as needed. Job Responsibilities * Manages Phase 4 Modernization implementation activities ensuring successful installation, testing, cutover, and System Acceptance of modernized Base Area Network infrastructure * Coordinates installation teams, schedules, and resources across all modernization activities * Ensures execution aligns with PMO-approved System Planning, Requirements, Implementation Plan (SPRIP) and 18-month modernization timeline * Manages Preliminary Integration Reviews (PIR) and Critical Integration Reviews (CIR) with Government stakeholders and base organizations * Coordinates Integration Plan Acceptance processes ensuring timely Government approvals * Manages Network Integration Lab operations and Qualification Testing activities * Coordinates installation schedules, Authorized Service Interruptions, and base coordination requirements * Manages equipment procurement, delivery, and logistics * Oversees OSP fiber optic installations and ISP infrastructure deployments * Coordinates with base Civil Engineering for AF Forms 332, 813, and 103 approvals * Manages cutover planning and execution minimizing operational impacts * Leads System Acceptance Testing coordination and documentation Required Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, information technology, or related field. * Minimum 8 years of program/project management experience in network infrastructure implementation or telecommunications deployment. * Department of Defense, Secret clearance or the ability obtain an interim Secret clearance * PMP certification preferred * Willing to travel throughout the US up to 25% SMS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
