Job description


Reliability Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute site‑level reliability assurance strategy aligned with Lite‑On quality and customer requirements.
  • Establish reliability standards, test methodologies, and acceptance criteria for new and existing products.
  • Serve as the subject‑matter leader for product reliability and long‑term performance risk.

Reliability Testing & Qualification

  • Oversee planning and execution of reliability testing such as thermal cycling, HTOL, HAST, vibration, shock, drop, and life testing.
  • Ensure reliability qualification plans meet internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry requirements.
  • Approve test plans, protocols, execution results, and final qualification reports.

Failure Analysis & Corrective Actions

  • Lead cross‑functional root cause analysis for reliability failures and test anomalies.
  • Partner with Failure Analysis, Design, Manufacturing, Process, and Supplier Quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure effectiveness of corrective actions is validated through follow‑up testing.

Lab Operations & Equipment Management

  • Manage reliability lab operations including equipment capability, calibration, maintenance, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient lab operations in accordance with Lite‑On EHS and quality policies.
  • Plan lab investments, upgrades, and capital expenditures to support future reliability needs.

NPI & Customer Support

  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by defining reliability qualification plans and readiness criteria.
  • Represent reliability in design reviews, customer meetings, audits, and qualification reviews.
  • Provide timely and professional technical responses to customer reliability inquiries and escalations.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze reliability data and failure trends to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide clear reliability metrics, dashboards, and executive‑level reporting.
  • Translate technical reliability data into actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop RAL engineers, technicians, and lab staff.
  • Establish training plans, performance goals, and succession planning for the reliability team.
  • Build strong technical capability and knowledge sharing within the lab organization.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure reliability activities comply with Lite‑On SOPs, customer standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits related to reliability and qualification.
  • Drive continuous improvement of test efficiency, data analysis, and lab utilization.



Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferre
