Job description

Summary:

In this role, you will contribute to all aspects of supply chain strategic sourcing processes including market opportunity identification, strategy and portfolio development, negotiations, marketing, and implementation. You will manage a portfolio of laboratory agreements and develop contracting strategies to reduce spend, improve operational efficiencies, and maximize member value and satisfaction. You will provide industry expertise within the categories you manage to members, suppliers, Vizient's field team and other internal and external stakeholders. You will use your industry expertise to conduct consultative engagements on behalf of our members as part of individual statements of work, or through comprehensive member initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of laboratory agreements.

  • Conduct product and market assessments and market research for assigned categories.

  • Identify and fill gaps in the contract portfolio with suppliers who are not currently on national agreements by presenting the value Vizient can bring to their organizations.

  • Develop contracting strategies that will deliver unique value to support individual members, supply networks, academic medical centers as well as customers and clients in non-acute laboratory markets.

  • Implement new programmatic offerings to deliver managed services to members in the laboratory market.

  • Partner with the Vizient Lab Council.

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and revenue plans to measure contract performance against category objectives.

  • Develop and price statements of work to support consulting engagements.

  • Develop, launch, and manage RFIs/RFPs on behalf of individual members.

  • Negotiate contracts or end user agreements on behalf of individual members.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Laboratory experience in a clinical or sales role preferred.

  • Financially savvy with working with expense and revenue budgets preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills preferred.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
