Area Director of Sales – Bend/Redmond, OR

An Area Director of Sales oversees the commercial and marketing strategies for a portfolio of hotels rather than a single property.
They lead on-property sales teams, maximize revenue (RevPAR and ADR), manage budgets, and align group and transient booking strategies with overall ownership goals.

A comprehensive breakdown of this multi-property leadership role includes the following core components:

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Portfolio Leadership: Develop and execute multi-year commercial strategies, annual Sales & Marketing plans, and expense budgets across assigned hotels.
  • Revenue Optimization: Collaborate with revenue management teams to optimize occupancy, forecast market demand, and balance high-rated leisure patterns with corporate and group business.
  • Brand & Market Positioning: Drive proactive business development, oversee public relations and digital marketing initiatives, and elevate the hotels’ visibility within the competitive set.
  • Account Management: Oversee corporate RFP (Request for Proposal) strategies and manage key accounts to secure lucrative group, convention, and leisure business.
Qualifications & Requirements
