Job description

The Spokane R7 School District is accepting applications for Director of Food Services for the 2026-2027 school year.   Spokane is located minutes from Branson, Table Rock Lake, Nixa, and Ozark. 


Job Summary:  The Food Service Director will be responsible for managing the school food service program, ensuring that nutritious and appetizing meals are prepared and that all federal, state and local standards are met.   The director will also oversee food service audits, Free/Reduced lunch accountability, DESE payments, ordering food for both campuses, menu management, and hiring additional food service staff when vacancies arise.  Spokane R7 serves approximately 700 students PK-12 on two campuses.


Qualifications:  Applicant must have food service experience and strong organizational and communication skills.  Management of food service personnel on both campuses is a key.  The main food service office is located at Spokane High School. 
Working Conditions:  Kitchen-atmosphere, frequency of being on your feet, light-duty lifting of boxes, frequent use of kitchen process equipment, and office conditions when not physically preparing food for students and staff.
