Job description

SUMMARY

The responsibility of the Facilities Manager is the appearance, care and maintenance of the facility including all aspects of the buildings and grounds. Takes initiative, identifies projects and performs work in conjunction with maintenance technicians. Reports to the Vice President of Systems and Operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Overall responsibility for appearance and maintenance of all aspect of the buildings and grounds, including:
    • Building Interior: cleanliness, appearance and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, security, etc. systems
    • Building Exterior: appearance and maintenance of walls and roof
    • Grounds: cleanliness, appearance and maintenance of parking lot and landscaping
  • Oversees facility maintenance technicians
  • Performs facility maintenance, upkeep and repair work
  • Identifies facility maintenance, upkeep and repair projects and works projects to completion in conjunction with other technicians
  • Operates hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Works in accordance with company safety policies, reports unsafe conditions
  • Demonstrates work ethic and attention to detail, adapts to changing priorities
  • Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with contractors


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Required Education: High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with facilities and all aspects of building maintenance
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, familiarity with basic hand and power tools
  • Physical requirements of this position include occasional heavy lifting, working outside, climbing ladders, using power tools and operating machinery
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
