Tax Manager

In this role, you’ll manage a diverse client portfolio, lead tax engagements, and serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and team members. You’ll play an important role in developing staff, helping guide and mentor professionals as they continue to grow in their careers.

Position Type: Full-Time | Hybrid / In-Office
Location: San Antonio ( Must live in or near San Antonio area- will be required to report to office location)

Qualifications
  • CPA designation required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • 5+ years of experience within a public accounting firm
  • Progressive supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong ability to manage priorities, lead teams, and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with business, individual, and estate tax planning
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple client engagements while maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Develop strong client relationships and maintain an understanding of each client’s business and goals
  • Facilitate client meetings focused on tax strategy, planning, and implementation
  • Represent clients before tax authorities when needed
  • Review tax returns for accuracy, compliance, and quality while mentoring staff through the review process
  • Monitor engagement timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members through ongoing communication and training
  • Stay current on tax law developments and advise staff and clients accordingly
  • Represent the firm within the community and support business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership and team members across the firm to drive continued growth and success
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as needed
